This Policy is applicable to Town & Country Gardens or TACGTACG are a commercial Grounds Maintenance business that operate in the East Midlands carrying out tasks such as grass cutting, hedge cutting, shrub pruning, border maintenance and weed control for commercial clients at their business premises. TACG recognises that concern for the environment is an integral and fundamental part of the
company’s business strategy and, to this end, has a business partner who is responsible to represent environmental issues.
TACG is proud of its achievements in the area of environmental performance, as has minimised environmental impacts, particularly pollution, recycling and associated hazards.
Regarding our future environmental objectives, TACG will:
- Wherever possible use environmentally safe and sustainable resources and machinery.
- Maximise resource usage and minimise the creation of waste, ensuring its disposal is in compliance with all relevant environmental legislation.
- Educate, train and motivate its employees so that they are aware of the potential impact of their actions on the environment and that they are fully aware of the company’s environmental policy.
- Manage its environmental impacts, particularly regarding the prevention of pollution, by operating within a recognised environmental management system, setting objectives with quantifiable targets on emissions, discharges and waste with management programmes with which to achieve them.
- Promote its environmental policy to all its suppliers and customers and expect that they will adopt both a responsible and pro-active approach to environmental concerns.
- By design, technology and strategic planning, make a commitment to the continual improvement of its products, processes, services and environmental impacts which will protect health, safety and the environment.
- Review its energy and water usage and, where necessary, invest in the appropriate technology for conservation and improved efficiency.
- Meet all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and other requirements, which relate to its environmental aspects.
